Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum

About the Role:

A leading fire protection company is seeking a highly experienced and CIPS qualified Procurement Manager to join their team in Sheffield. As a key member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic procurement function that supports the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
2. Lead the sourcing and selection of suppliers for a wide range of goods and services.
3. Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to achieve the best possible terms and conditions.
4. Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring timely delivery and quality of goods and services.
5. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain.
6. Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.
7. Analyse procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
8. Work closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and engineering.
9. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in procurement.

About You:

1. CIPS qualified (essential)
2. Proven experience in a procurement management role within a relevant industry (e.g., construction, engineering, manufacturing).
3. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Strong commercial acumen and understanding of financial principles.
6. Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
