Your Mission:

As Direct Procurement Manager, you will lead a team of procurement professionals, ensuring the efficient and strategic sourcing of raw materials, proprietary components, and manufactured parts. You will be responsible for developing supplier relationships, identifying strategic opportunities, and ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality or delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Managing a high-performing Direct Procurement team, overseeing sourcing of raw materials and components.
2. Developing and implementing strategic procurement plans that drive efficiency and competitive cost structures.
3. Enhancing supplier relationships, identifying technological and strategic opportunities to strengthen our supply chain.
4. Leading continuous improvement initiatives, refining procurement control systems, KPIs, and processes.
5. Ensuring best-in-class cost, quality, and delivery performance from suppliers.
6. Developing and monitoring supplier KPIs, ensuring adherence to quality and performance standards.
7. Coordinating internally manufactured component parts for external supply.
8. Partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to create a resilient and environmentally conscious supply network.
9. Chairing, attending, and proactively participating in key meetings to drive procurement strategy.
10. Maintaining a thorough working knowledge of ERP systems (IFS preferred).

What We're Looking For:

1. Proven expertise in Direct Procurement, with knowledge of composite, metallic, and proprietary products.
2. Strong understanding of manufacturing methods and engineering processes.
3. Previous experience leading a procurement team in a fast-paced environment.
4. The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and supplier specifications.
5. A strategic mindset, capable of balancing agility with long-term planning.
6. Confident decision-making and problem-solving skills, thriving under pressure.
7. Excellent communication skills, able to foster strong cross-functional relationships.
8. A flexible, collaborative approach, with a passion for continuous improvement.
9. Willingness to travel as required to strengthen supplier relationships and oversee procurement operations.
