Procurement Manager - SZC Project (Sizewell C)
Location: Suffolk and London

Join one of the UK's most exciting infrastructure projects! We're looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to help deliver the Sizewell C nuclear power plant - from design to decommissioning. In this role, you'll lead the development and implementation of procurement strategies, working with suppliers to ensure maximum value for the project while meeting stakeholder and community commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement procurement strategies and manage project procurement objectives.
  • Support tendering, supplier selection, market analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Lead procurement processes for subcontractors, materials, plant, and services, ensuring compliance with nuclear regulations and best practices.
  • Provide market intelligence, cost advice, and performance feedback.
  • Develop and manage the supplier database linked to CompeteFor, and monitor supply chain performance.
  • Develop local, diverse, and SME engagement strategies, and support sustainability initiatives.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to deliver best value.
  • Ensure Zero Harm principles are central to all procurement activities.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in procurement within the construction or major projects sector.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Experience in developing and delivering procurement strategies.
  • Knowledge of legal contracting, risk management, and supply chain planning.
  • Ability to manage procurement resources and deliver under pressure.

Desirable:

  • MCIPS or working towards chartership (CIOB, RICS, etc.).
  • Industry qualifications (Diploma Level 4, HNC in Building Studies, or degree).
