Procurement Manager

We are currently partnered with a reputable social housing consultancy who are wanting to enhance their current team, and are looking for a Procurement Manager to join as a key role within their business support team. To be successful as a Procurement Manager, you will have:

1. MCIPS qualification or equivalent.
2. Proven experience in procurement at a senior level.
3. Expertise in contract and project management, along with managing dynamic workloads.
4. A strategic thinker with a passion for improving processes and driving results.
5. Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.

Contract

450 - 650 day rate

The ideal Procurement Manager will have:

1. Leadership & Relationship Management: Proven leadership experience with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
2. Public & Private Sector Experience: A mix of experience in both sectors, and ideally, experience with utilities, defence, or public sector.
3. Data-Driven Decision Making: A deep understanding of procurement data and strong analytical skills to support strategic growth.
4. Change Management & Consultancy: The ability to lead transformation and guide the team through change.

The key responsibilities of a Procurement Manager:

1. Lead and manage procurement services, compliance, and data teams to deliver growth, efficiency, and value.
2. Collaborate with teams across procurement, finance, marketing, sales, and supply chain to develop a world-class procurement function.
3. Drive continuous improvement and support strategic initiatives within the social housing and local authority sectors.
