The role:- Oversee end-to-end procurement of ingredients for UK sites, ensuring cost efficiency and supply chain optimisation.
- Develop and implement category management strategies tailored to commodity buying.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to drive value engineering and innovation.
- Maintain supplier relationships, ensuring on-time, in-full deliveries and optimal risk management.
- Ensure accurate reporting of procurement activities, including buying variances and supplier performance.
Ideal candidate:- Must have experience in food manufacturing and commodity procurement.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
- Continuously seek opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier performance enhancements.
- Work cross-functionally with planning, manufacturing, and technical teams to align procurement with operational needs.
- Maintain meticulous records and reporting using SAP, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills to drive best-in-class procurement practices.
