Procurement Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Manager (Indirect) to join an established and successful organisation based in North Yorkshire. This is an exciting new role, reporting into the Head of Procurement and is a permanent role offering an attractive salary, hybrid working, and flexible working.

As the Indirect Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:

1. Implementing procurement category strategies
2. Identifying cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations
3. Establishing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers
4. Reducing costs and negotiating prices with suppliers
5. Conducting market analysis to stay updated on industry trends
6. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in procurement management and experience in a similar role. You should have experience in category management and experience with indirect categories such as IT, Marketing, and Facilities Management. Strong negotiation skills are essential, as are strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You should have a solid understanding of procurement processes, excellent presentation skills, and strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint. A relevant professional qualification (CIPS or equivalent) is also essential.

This role offers a competitive salary of £50,000 plus a car and will involve 1 day a week working at the Head Office near Harrogate.
