Procurement Lead

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We're looking for a highly motivated, experienced Procurement Lead to spearhead a dynamic team and drive improvements in procurement efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance.

As the Procurement Lead, you will:

1. Lead a small but mighty team of 3 procurement professionals, providing mentorship, training, and continuous performance improvement.
2. Negotiate and manage critical supplier relationships, ensuring on-time deliveries, cost savings, and streamlined operations.
3. Be the front-line driver of improvements, identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions that increase productivity and reduce costs.
4. Oversee the purchasing process for a variety of goods, services, and materials while ensuring compliance with all government policies and procedures.
5. Take the lead in supplier management, including recovery plans and regular performance reviews.
6. Drive the development and execution of procurement strategies and influence key stakeholders across the organisation.
7. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on procurement progress, continuously identifying areas for improvement.

The successful Procurement Lead will have:

1. Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of material planning and procurement processes, gained within a manufacturing environment.
2. Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and digital procurement platforms, ideally SAP.
3. A track record of delivering cost savings, supplier performance improvement, and driving continuous operational improvements.
4. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
