Procurement Manager - Technology

Do you have excellent people skills and a deep understanding of various subsets of Technology, including but not limited to software, hardware, and outsourced service partners?

Reporting into the Category Director for Technology and working with the IT Leadership team, you will be part of a high performing category team of 6 procurement professionals managing a substantial range of projects and stakeholder and supplier relationships.

About the role

As the Procurement Lead for an allocated category within Walgreens Boots Alliance's businesses outside the US, your primary responsibility is to deliver the best possible value from third-party relationships by:

  1. Negotiating with key partners such as Microsoft, SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, BT, and TCS.
  2. Leading the development, implementation, and ongoing management of commercial strategies, including multi-year strategic category plans.
  3. Collaborating with stakeholders to develop procurement category initiatives.
  4. Identifying, creating, and implementing initiatives to maximize value and ensure ongoing management of existing supplier contracts and relationships.
  5. Providing commercial leadership to stakeholders, including senior executives.
  6. Contributing to the continuous development of the Boots Procurement team.
What you'll need to have

  1. You can operate collaboratively within a complex environment.
  2. You have in-depth Procurement knowledge in Technology.
  3. You have experience delivering at pace whilst working on a wide range of initiatives.
  4. You have industry knowledge and category insights to provide knowledge-based challenge to stakeholders and suppliers alike.
  5. You are commercially astute with strong communication and negotiation skills and adept at applying a variety of commercial approaches to deliver value to the business.
