The role would suit someone with previous experience in a Process Technologist role accompanied with a background in food manufacturing/production. In this role, you will be assisting in the delivery of new products & customer launches as part of a passionate & successful team.

The role:

1. Driving the development of quality and safe products taking into consideration specific product parameters and customer requirements.
2. Ensuring that ingredient/product information is accurate, up-to-date and consistent in the NPD system.
3. Building relationships with the manufacturers, understanding capabilities and spending time on-site with their development teams to create exciting products efficiently, following the products through to the launch and beyond.
4. Generate product labelling in compliance with relevant legislation to include proofreading from design to printing.
5. Supporting continuous improvement projects.
6. Generate internal & external project documentation.
7. Attending factory trials and product launches at various locations across the UK.
8. Sending samples for customer request & hosting customer visits.
9. Investigating new food trends and competitor activity at local & global levels.

The person:

1. BSc Food Science/Technology (or similar) with 3 years' experience in NPD/process within FMCG.
2. Knowledge of UK labelling legislation.
3. A self-starter who shows initiative and excels in multitasking with attention to detail, excellent organisational & communication skills, and a can-do attitude.
4. Relishes working in a fast-paced environment, working independently and as a part of a passionate & successful team.
5. A strong interest in food and awareness of market trends.
6. Valid driving licence.
