Process Plant Operator

This fast-growing food manufacturing business, located near Stratford upon Avon, is looking for a Process Plant Operator (Food processing) to join their team.
The production plant operates 24/7 and this role will require working a shift pattern of 12 hours, on a 4-On / 4-Off basis, covering days and nights. In return, the successful Process Plant Operator will receive a salary up to £41,922 (includes shift allowance) + non-contractual bonus + death in service + private medical insurance + 25 days holiday and 8% pension.

As a Process Plant Operator, your duties will include:

1. Ensuring the safe operation of the food production plant to guarantee production targets are achieved in volume, quality, and efficiency.
2. Ensuring all routine sampling and testing of the production processes are carried out and recorded as required.
3. Recording and reporting data as requested using spreadsheets.
4. Ensuring all assigned routine safety and preventative maintenance checks are undertaken as scheduled.
5. Assisting Maintenance Technicians in the event of plant failure.
6. Ensuring that production-related waste is moved to designated disposal locations in a timely fashion.
7. Undertaking general housekeeping and cleaning of the areas.

To be a successful Process Plant Operative, you will have the following skills and experiences:

1. Recent experience as a Process Plant Operator/Process Technician in a Food Production/Food Manufacturing environment.
2. Knowledge and understanding of typical SCADA, operator interface control systems, and PLC-based operations would be useful, but not essential.
3. A hard-working aptitude, with an ambition to want to succeed and progress.
4. Health and safety training, IOSH, BSI, NEBOSH would be desirable.
5. Eligibility to work in the UK. (This company does not operate a Sponsorship scheme)
6. Good English language skills, written and verbal.

Please Note – The role of Process Plant Operator will involve using stairs, rung ladders, and some high-level work areas. This role is in a rural location, without access to public transport. It will require working in an agricultural environment.
