Are you a hands-on engineer with a passion for injection moulding? This could be the perfect role for you. I am working with a company looking to take on a Process Engineer to support and develop the engineering function for their busy manufacturing sites.

This business has gone from strength to strength, having a strong order book and has reinforced their success with a recently opened new premises. This role will see you leading process improvement initiatives and developing SOPs.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and optimise injection moulding processes to improve productivity, reduce scrap, and enhance product quality.
2. Conduct trial runs and process evaluations to ensure optimum process parameters are set for production.
3. Monitor production runs to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for adjustments to moulding processes.
4. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for injection moulding processes.
5. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the injection moulding process and implement lean manufacturing principles.
6. Lead or participate in root-cause analysis activities to investigate process deviations or failures.
7. Work with R&D or design teams to implement design for manufacturability (DFM) improvements.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

1. Injection Moulding experience.
2. Engineering qualifications.
3. Experience of process improvements.
4. Physically fit.
5. Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
