Summary:

Process Engineer is responsible for the process design, operation, and implementation of manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be able to improve manufacturing processes to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, configure, and optimize manufacturing processes from inception through to start up and certification.
  • Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data.
  • Participate with Customers and Suppliers with new product introduction to ensure specifications are fulfilled.
  • Support any in-process issues.
  • Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
  • Drive Continuous Improvements increasing productivity, cost-savings within existing processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Preferred 3-5 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Excellent technical skills, GD&T experience.
  • Knowledge of process related standards.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and inspection processes.
  • 3-5 years’ NX CAD/CAM experience preferred.
  • Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or higher in related field preferred.

Working Conditions:

Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have ability to read applicable customer/B&E documents with or without corrective lenses.
  • Must be able to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required.
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
