Job Title: Process Development Engineer
Location: Ormskirk (L40)
Salary: £33,000- £42,000 (DOE)
Shifts: Monday- Friday 08:30- 17:00
Contract Type: Permanent

Our client is one of the world's leading manufacturers of glass and glazing systems in three major business areas; Architectural Glass, Automotive and Technical Glass.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with our client for a Process Development Engineer to work within the Shaping Technology team. You will be a key member of an R&D technology team who have the responsibility to develop our client's industrial manufacturing process, used worldwide, to produce glazing for the Automotive market.

Responsibilities:

1. Use data analysis skills and knowledge of digitalisation techniques, to understand correlations and trends within the glass bending manufacturing process.
2. Develop an understanding of automotive glass specifications applicable to our client's processes and product performance.
3. Contribute to the development of environmentally responsible new processes and products.
4. Travel to Europe to learn processes and get involved in projects.
5. Use digital tools to conduct analysis.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Must have worked within a similar role previously.
2. Experience working on a large-scale production facility.
3. Use of digital tools for data analysis and ability to interpret.
4. Able to travel to Europe and Globally - Travel around Europe in the first year would be 1-2 weeks around every 6 weeks.
5. Ability to identify issues and problems and produce solutions.
6. Quality control background would be advantageous.
7. Must have a UK driving licence.
