Salary: Up to £39K (including shift allowance)
Hours of work: Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off, 2 days 2 nights, 6am-6pm/6pm-6am
Location: Milton Keynes
Overview:
You will be responsible for delivering daily and weekly performance targets and will train, coach & mentor others to succeed in a fast-paced, process environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure effective communication to achieve 100% compliance with daily production plan.
- Lead & drive a culture of Continuous Improvement on your line, working cross-functionally to deliver the best output for the business.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Hygiene & PPE policies.
- Maintain good manufacturing process standards across your line.
- Ensure process department and ingredient stores are audit ready at all times.
- Be responsible for ensuring that first-time quality is always a priority, instilling this mindset into the rest of the shift team to achieve quality targets.
- Responsible for correct outputs and quality of product.
- Plan the day-to-day operation of the lines anticipating situations that could impact our ability to meet the production plan, i.e. equipment failure, material or product specification problems.
- Identify training and development needs of the Team to ensure effective training, which has a clear benefit to achieving quality and production targets.
- Ensure that production information is recorded accurately and on a timely basis, using SAP / other systems.
Skills & experience sought:
- Current/recent experience as a Line Leader or Supervisor within an FMCG environment (3 years +).
- Experience of training, mentoring, and managing others in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to set & demand high standards.
- A clear understanding of Health & Safety & Hygiene standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- An understanding of KPIs.
- A proactive, 'can do' attitude bringing enthusiasm, energy, and a passion for high standards.
