Job description

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Business Process Analyst to support the business in its high growth phase. This role is key in analysing, mapping, and optimizing business processes to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. The successful candidate will act as a Business Analyst on multiple concurrent change projects, ensuring that business process simplification, efficiency, and compliance are at the core of all initiatives.

This role requires strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience working in agile fintech environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Process Optimization:
    • Identify opportunities for business process improvement and re-engineering, applying Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations.
    • Make tangible recommendations for workflow simplification and efficiency improvements that enhance customer experience.
    • Ensure all process changes align with industry best practices, compliance requirements, and business goals.
  • Process Mapping & Documentation:
    • Develop and maintain end-to-end process maps, using appropriate tools (e.g., JIRA, Visio, Lucidchart).
    • Document key customer journeys, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for fintech clients.
    • Support the creation and refinement of the Target Operating Model (TOM) to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Ensure business process documentation is kept up-to-date and accurately reflects changes.
  • Business Analysis & Change Management:
    • Act as a Business Analyst on change projects, working across multiple cross-functional teams.
    • Gather and document business requirements, ensuring full traceability to solution design and testing.
    • Produce key project deliverables, including requirements documents, epics, user stories, process flows, and customer journey maps.
    • Ensure that all stakeholders remain focused on business process simplification and efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including Senior Management, Risk, Banking Operations, Relationship Management teams, and third-party vendors and providers.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to align process improvements with business goals and ensure seamless collaboration.
    • Coordinate with third-party service providers to optimize onboarding, compliance, and operational efficiency, ensuring all external processes integrate smoothly with internal workflows.
    • Communicate complex process changes in a clear, structured manner to both technical and non-technical audiences, including external partners and vendors.

Skills and Requirements

Experience & Industry Knowledge:

  • Proven experience as a Process Analyst or Enterprise Business Analyst in the fintech sector, with a focus on cards, payments, and/or digital banking.
  • Experience with customer onboarding processes within fintech, ensuring smooth integration with client ecosystems.
  • Strong process mapping expertise, preferably with tools such as JIRA, Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks in fintech and payments.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, startup-style fintech environments, rather than heavily structured corporate settings.

Technical & Analytical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of business process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze complex workflows and identify areas for automation and optimization.
  • Experience working on multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.

Stakeholder & Communication Skills:

  • Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives, technical teams, and operations staff.
  • Self-starter mindset—able to work independently, drive initiatives forward, and adapt to changing business needs.
