Private Funds Associate

Pure Law Recruitment Ltd
England
GBP 60,000 - 80,000
Job description

We are working with a leading law firm to find a talented associate with 2 to 5 years' PQE to join their highly regarded private investment funds team.

About my client

My client is a prestigious London-based law firm known for its outstanding combination of legal expertise, business agility, and a strong team culture. The firm offers a distinctive service that is tailored to the evolving needs of its clients. Its supportive and collaborative culture fosters an environment where professionals can thrive while enjoying a long-term career path that encourages personal and professional development.

The firm values diversity and equal treatment in recruitment, retention, and promotion, providing opportunities for individuals to succeed at every stage of their career. Working here means being part of a cohesive team where people truly know and support one another.

The team's work spans the full range of private funds, from private equity, private debt, venture capital, infrastructure, and real estate, to hedge funds and regulated funds. Key areas of current focus include private equity managers, private debt, institutional asset managers, and venture capital managers.

Further, the team is involved in cutting-edge work on hybrid funds, combining closed-ended and open-ended funds, and assisting alternative fund managers in attracting capital from defined contribution pension funds and the mass-affluent market.

The opportunity

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated private funds associate to join an experienced, dynamic team working on a broad range of high-quality, cross-border matters. You will have the chance to:

  • Lead on private fundraisings, taking significant responsibility from the outset.
  • Assist with regulatory and tax structuring, as well as jurisdictional analysis.
  • Draft and negotiate key fund documentation, including limited partnership agreements, side letters, and subscription agreements.
  • Coordinate international regulatory guidance and advise on incentive arrangements.
  • Support clients on business and operational matters, including structuring, compliance, and governance.
  • Play a key role in supporting other practice groups on private funds-related aspects of M&A and secondary transactions.

You will be working closely with partners and senior associates in a highly collaborative environment, providing you with substantial exposure to both client-facing work and high-level strategic matters. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and advance your career within a team that is both supportive and performance-driven.

The ideal candidate

My client is seeking a highly motivated individual who meets the following criteria:

  • 2 to 5 years’ PQE, ideally gained from a leading institutional private funds practice or in-house at a private capital manager.
  • A strong focus on private funds, including private equity, private debt, venture capital, infrastructure, and real assets.
  • A genuine commitment to developing legal and commercial skills, as well as contributing to the success of the team.
  • Articulate and confident, with the ability to deliver top-quality work as part of a skilled and motivated team.

If you are looking for an exciting new challenge and want to work on complex, high-profile matters with a top-tier team, this is an outstanding opportunity.
