Private Equity Associate - Software

Our client, a top-tier global private equity firm with offices in USA, Singapore, France and UK , is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its London team. The firm currently manages a portfolio of 50+ businesses with a combined enterprise value exceeding 100+ billion and a workforce of over 100,000+ employees worldwide. Their investment strategy is heavily focused on software and services, with an emphasis on high-growth, technology-driven businesses.

The Role

As an Associate, you will be responsible for supporting investment decisions across the software and services sector, working closely with senior team members on deal origination, due diligence, and portfolio management. This is a high-impact role with exposure to both M&A transactions and value creation strategies within portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence on prospective investments.
• Assist in the structuring and execution of transactions, including buyouts, growth equity, and strategic acquisitions.
• Work directly with portfolio company leadership teams, helping drive operational improvements and long-term growth strategies.
• Monitor industry trends and identify attractive investment opportunities in software and tech-enabled services.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in elite private equity, investment banking, or strategy consulting, ideally with exposure to the software sector.
• Master’s degree from a prestigious university
• Strong financial acumen, advanced financial modeling skills, and transaction experience.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with C-level executives and senior investors.
