Private Client Solicitor / CILEX

Sussex based Financial Advisors/Wealth Management practice seeks a Private Client Solicitor or FILEX to join the legal team in Mid Sussex - (2-3 days WFH).

You will be joining the legal department of this Burgess Hill based practice working alongside two Private Client lawyers who deal predominantly with the drafting of Wills, LPAs and undertaking Probate Discovery work on behalf of the firm’s clients.

As a Solicitor (3yrys+) or CILEX/FILEX joining this team, you will be responsible for handling a caseload of Probate & Estate Administration work, Complex Wills, Deeds of Variations and Trusts (including registrations and declarations), and providing advice to clients on IHT & CGT matters. Experience dealing with estates with an international element would be preferred.

The successful individual (at some point in the near future), will look to become the firms Legal Compliance Officer (COLP) with an opportunity for them to join the firms management team as a Director. The ability to supervise and support junior staff members is paramount.

Previous experience working for either a private practice law firm, accountancy practice or trust company would all be considered. STEP or SFTE membership would be an added benefit.

Generous salary between £50,000pa-£70,000pa, 25 Days Annual Leave, Pension, Free Parking , Future Directorship and the option to WFH (2-3 days) is all on offer.
