The firm

Belluzzo International Partners are a pre-eminent international Private Client advisory firm covering Law, Tax, Accounting and Wealth Succession Planning, with seven offices across four jurisdictions including a new office in the UAE. It also has thirty correspondent offices around the world.

We have thirty Tax, Accounting and Wealth Planning staff in our London office. Our associate firm Phillips Lewis Smith, an independent fully authorised firm of English solicitors, have twelve staff and provide an English law capability regulated by the SRA for reserved and unreserved English legal services.

We and Phillips Lewis Smith advise and assist predominantly high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals both in the UK and around the world, in addition to Phillips Lewis Smith’s long established traditional English Private Client practice. Based in London near Trafalgar Square, we both have loyal client followings for whom we offer an authentically personal service. We are now expanding the London advisory practice through our association with Phillips Lewis Smith, who seek to make the following appointment and will be the employer.

The role

This is an opportunity to work alongside the existing team in Phillips Lewis Smith, in a full-time role where personal attendance with clients and other members of staff at our offices is a distinct and valuable feature of our service, and which could be with some hybrid working. Intelligent harnessing of AI will further support our long tradition of focusing on close personal professional relationships.

In instances where clients choose to take the benefits of the association between Belluzzo International Partners and Phillip Lewis Smith, both firms collaboratively assist English and international clients, in a small number of complex and varied cases. International clients are predominantly Italian.

You will be involved in a broad range of Private Client work including drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney for UK and international clients, Estate Planning, Administration of Estates including international assets and foreign domicile, and the administration of trusts. You will be fully supported by Belluzzo International Partners’ Tax, Wealth Planning and accounting skills as clients require. The ideal candidate will either have experience in dealing with such complex matters or a capability to learn and grow into the role. The position is targeted towards those who wish to develop their career in Private Client work and grow professionally with a shared commitment to this area.

Our requirements

• Admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales
• Experience in a broad range of Private Client work.
• Familiarity with complex matters is preferred but not essential
• Strong technical knowledge
• Professional and friendly and able to develop relationships with colleagues and clients
• Good communications skills, both in writing and in person
• Able to work effectively individually and as part of a team
• Organised with a strong attention to detail and a positive problem-solving approach to giving clients the best advice
• A member of STEP or willing to obtain STEP qualifications
• Effective IT skills and experience in supporting business development activities
• Italian language skills an asset but far from essential
