The successful candidate will work closely with a highly experienced lawyer and a secretary, offering the opportunity to develop technical expertise and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with a variety of Private Client matters, including but not limited to Wills, Probate, Trusts, and Estate Administration.
  • Drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), and other legal documents under supervision.
  • Supporting the Solicitor in managing a caseload and progressing matters efficiently.
  • Liaising with clients, offering support and maintaining strong, professional relationships.
  • Conducting legal research as required and providing reports to the supervising lawyer.
  • Assisting in the administration of estates, including dealing with the distribution of assets and probate procedures.
  • Managing files and documents in accordance with firm procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • General administrative support for the team as needed, including maintaining accurate records and filing systems.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Private Client environment, ideally as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
  • Knowledge of Private Client matters such as Wills, Probate, and Trusts.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy and precision.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude, with a desire to take on responsibility and grow in the role.
  • A good understanding of legal software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ideally, the candidate will have a law degree or equivalent qualification (though this is not essential).

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive law firm where the successful candidate can truly develop their career in Private Client law.
