This well-established and reputable law firm is seeking a Paralegal to join their Private Client department. The firm is known for their great legal services and is accredited for their services.
The team requires a paralegal to assist on all issues relating to private client work.
This role will be based in Bexleyheath with occasional travel to Dartford and Orpington.
Main Duties:
The administration of estates
Succession and Tax planning
Assisting solicitors with administration of high-value and complex estates
Wills
Lasting Powers of Attorney
Registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney
Applications to the Court of Protection
Duties will include:
Supporting the fee earners on their Private Client cases.
Taking instructions from clients by prior appointment at the office for straightforward Wills.
Advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney and managing their preparation and registration following signature.
Preparing, explaining, and submitting draft documents for approval promptly - ideally on the same day or within 24 hours.
Referring complex trust issues, IHT advice, and other enquiries outside the scope of 'Easywill' to senior members of the Private Client team.
Desired skills:
Must have experience working in the Private Client department with at least 12 months of experience drafting Lasting Powers of Attorney.
A Law degree/LPC desired although not essential.
Must be able to travel to all three offices.
What they offer:
Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm, this is office based.
Salary depending on experience - £25,000 - 30,000.
