In this role, you will manage a caseload of clients across prison and probation settings to support their rehabilitation. The key focus is resettlement and securing employment, which includes helping clients develop skills, secure accommodation, and gain necessary support. You will provide 1:1 support and guidance, setting goals and milestones to aid their progress.

You will be based at HMP Littlehey, and if needed, may sometimes be required to work in community/probation setting in Huntingdon.

To apply, you must have experience working with individuals within the criminal justice system, either in a prison or custodial setting. Alternatively, experience supporting vulnerable clients in areas such as mental health, substance abuse, or homelessness is valuable. Criminology graduates with relevant volunteer experience are also encouraged to apply (such as working with clients who face similar challenges).

If you haven’t heard back within 72 hours, please complete the “Send Us A Message” form on the Contact Us page on the Red 5 People website, and we guarantee a real person will get back to you. For more details about the role, please call the office and ask for Lawrence (number on the Red 5 People website).

You might have previously worked as a prison officer, probation officer, resettlement worker, supported housing officer, drug and alcohol worker, careers advisor, employment advisor or hostel worker. Alternatively, you might be a criminology graduate looking to get your first step on the career ladder (and have some relevant voluntary or paid experience).

There are heaps of benefits: 25 days leave (increasing over time), 2 days paid volunteering, enhanced pension scheme, and life assurance.
