An established industry player in the arts education sector is seeking an innovative individual to join their Technical Services team. This role involves working with undergraduate and postgraduate Textiles students. You will be a key part of our existing Technical Services team. You should be able to deliver technical teaching and support in textile screenprinting processes and the use of the dye labs, guiding and supporting students and staff in their use of the Printed Textiles facilities. Working in a team, you will help to develop more sustainable textile print and dye methods and processes, reduce waste and water usage. Knowledge of plant-based natural dyes, bio dyeing, or embroidery would be desirable.
You should be innovative, with strong organisational and creative skills, keeping up to date with technological advances in the area. We are looking for knowledge and experience of industry-level equipment and software. An aptitude for problem solving and assisting students in realising their projects is at the heart of what we do. You should be effective at communicating with a diverse range of individuals from varying backgrounds with knowledge and understanding of race, multiculturalism, and diversity.
