Job Title: Principal Instrument & Control Engineer
Location: London, UK (Hybrid - 2-3 days in office per week)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Instrument & Control Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team in London, working on cutting-edge carbon capture and hydrogen projects. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in projects from concept studies to detailed design, providing a varied and stimulating workload across Green Energy, Nuclear, and Oil & Gas sectors.

This is a hybrid role, with 2-3 days per week based in the London office.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical expertise in instrumentation and control systems for projects and proposals.
  2. Prepare, review, and approve engineering documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  3. Allocate work and manage discipline staff to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
  4. Mentor and develop junior engineers and graduates within the team.
  5. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, national/international standards, and company procedures.
  6. Prepare requisitions for control systems, safety systems, analyser houses, and field instrumentation.
  7. Develop installation scopes of work and review supplier quotations.
  8. Conduct technical bid assessments for instrumentation equipment.
Requirements
  1. BSc in Engineering (Instrumentation, Control, or a related discipline).
  2. Experience working in EPC and major engineering environments.
  3. Strong knowledge of full project lifecycle from concept to detailed design.
  4. Previous experience leading projects within the energy sector.
