The Role

As the Field Services Principle HSW, you will be leading the Health, Safety, Quality and Risk team reporting to the Group Owner Field Services. You will be responsible for ensuring organisational compliance with all relevant regulations and standards and represent the first line of defence for Field Health and Safety, Quality and Risk.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the right frameworks, processes, and operational disciplines are in place to ensure Telstra operates in a safe and sustainable manner.

Key elements :

  • Help create a Health and Safety, Quality and Risk focused culture across Field Services and into the wider Telstra.
  • Provide leadership and guidance across Field Services and its SLT on Health and Safety, Quality and Risk best practices.
  • Support the Group Owner / Executive in establishing the right oversight and reporting framework for health & safety, quality and risk aligned to the corporate frameworks and tools.
  • Develop and implement health, safety, quality, environmental and risk management policies and procedures to support Field Services aligned to corporate standards and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, quality, and risk regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement programs to ensure that all employees and managers are aware of, able to comply with policies and procedures and that we can measure and demonstrate this compliance.
  • Manage the Health, Safety and Risk team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with other functions to ensure that health, safety, environmental, quality, and risk management policies and procedures are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders to ensure that our organization is up to date on all relevant health, safety, environmental, quality, and risk regulations and standards.

About you :

  • You will have experience in corporate environments and high-risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in health, safety, environmental, quality, and risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, quality, and risk regulations and standards.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
