Principal Engineering Team Lead - Hybrid

Our client is embarking on a large-scale digital transformation with a new platform that is fully centered around Salesforce. This transformation will empower the business to deliver cutting-edge digital services, streamline and automate processes. We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to join our Engineering Leadership Team and play a key role in driving the delivery of our digital roadmap, enhancing our team's capabilities, and shaping the engineering strategy to drive improvements across all areas.

This role focuses on building out our Single Digital Platform, which revolves around Salesforce but also includes a significant .NET estate and the use of Azure services.

  • People Management/Team Leadership
  • Pardot, C#, .NET, Azure, Salesforce Desirable

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Leading engineering teams by setting best practices, ensuring the correct design and implementation, and taking ownership of delivery outcomes as per the product road map.
  • Ensuring non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, resilience, and GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) standards are met, including information security and industry regulations.
  • Continuously improving and ensuring adherence to our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Providing direction and support to delivery teams in a multi-vendor environment.
  • Enhancing our core DORA metrics to optimise flow through systems and processes.

What You'll Bring:
  • Proven experience building and leading high performing engineering teams
  • Expertise in at least one of Azure/.NET, or Salesforce technology ecosystems, experience in both preferred
  • Experience designing and delivering complex solutions to time and budget, being accountable for outcomes not output
  • Proven experience in being responsible for application estates that manage high volumes delivering critical business value, with experience of doing this in the financial services sector a plus
  • Strong stakeholder management across a variety of business domains
  • Good understanding of current and emerging technologies and their potential to deliver business benefits
  • Ability to translate business strategy into technical solutions and business requirements into technical design
  • Experience working in Agile environments and a deep understanding of how to ensure optimum flow of work through the full SDLC
  • Prior experience working in a product-centric organisation preferred
