About The Role

This senior position offers a unique opportunity to lead the development of cutting-edge business intelligence (BI) solutions while managing and inspiring a talented team of analysts. You will work on high-impact projects that align with the Health Board’s strategic objectives, using data to drive improvements in patient care and operational performance.

Main Duties of the Job

In This Role, You’ll:

  • Lead and deliver transformative BI projects across the organization.
  • Manage the Business Intelligence team, providing leadership, mentorship, and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, clinicians, and operational teams to ensure BI solutions meet evolving strategic needs.
  • Drive innovation by developing dashboards, reports, and analytics tools that inform decision-making at all levels.
  • Champion data quality and governance, ensuring compliance with NHS and regulatory standards.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker with advanced technical expertise and strong leadership capabilities. You’ll have:

  • Proven experience in delivering BI solutions within a complex organization, ideally in healthcare.
  • A track record of managing and developing teams, with excellent interpersonal and mentorship skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, Google Cloud Platform, Power BI, Tableau), SQL, and data visualization techniques.
  • Strong communication skills to present complex insights to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in data analytics and BI practices.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
