Contract type: 18 Month Attachment / Fixed Term Contract
Location: London - New Broadcasting House / Cardiff (This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working)

Introduction

This exciting role sits in the BBC's Technology & Media Operations group, which delivers the technology requirements of the BBC across broadcast, enterprise, and digital to the strategy set by the business.

Reporting into the Systems Engineering Manager for Treasury, Expenses and Payroll in Corporate Systems, the role, working in partnership with peers supporting the broader finance systems landscape, will be accountable for implementation, management, and optimisation of the Rights management, Expenses, Payroll and Treasury systems within the BBC, largely delivered via SAP and SAP partner solutions such as Kyriba and Concur. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that the BBC's solutions align with business objectives and deliver value to the BBC.

  • 30 minute technical interview
  • 1 hour values and behaviours competency interview
  • Interviews due to take place on 12th of May *this may be subject to change


Main Responsibilities

The multifaceted role encompasses functional management and direct technical contribution, working as a team to deliver activities such as technical planning, design, analysis, implementation, system integration, validation and verification. Covering all phases within a product lifecycle.

Are you the right candidate

Essential Skills

  • Demonstratable and relevant recent experience of working within a complex SAP landscape
  • Experience in the design, delivery or support of technical systems and infrastructure
  • Strong relationship management skills, persuasive and able to steer through change
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience of partnering with outsourced partners to deliver process and technology changes.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess system performance and drive improvements.
  • Experience of working on projects as a functional and technical expert to deliver change
  • Expertise in translating project, user and product requirements into technical solutions
  • Good knowledge of SAP Finance processes and systems plus ideally Contingent Worker or Rights Management processes and systems


Desired Skills
  • Experience of working with SAP Reporting tools such as BW, BPC
  • Integration Knowledge with SAP FI/HR
  • Experience in the media sector or broadcast environment
  • Knowledge of other SAP modules such as MM, SD
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA or ACCA)
  • Experience in configuring or working with interfaces
