What You'll Do:

1. Architect & Strategise: Lead the high-level architecture and devise long-term technical strategies, steering projects crucial to global security.
2. Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with customers and stakeholders to maintain and enhance the company's sophisticated software. Bring forward innovative solutions that drive quality and efficiency.
3. Technical Leadership: Mentor other engineers and manage sprint boards; your expertise will be integral to the team's success.
4. Optimise & Automate: Shape application architecture for peak performance, automate processes, and ensure seamless CI/CD pipelines for smooth product delivery.

What You Bring:

We're looking for an all-rounder with deep expertise and a keen interest in pushing boundaries. Here's what makes you a perfect fit:

1. Extensive Technical Know How: 10+ years developing applications and embedded systems using C/C++, Java, Python, Rust, and full stack development with Angular.
2. Cloud & On Prem Mastery: Designed and managed Kubernetes environments and worked with IaC tools like Helm Charts, Terraform, or Ansible.
3. CI/CD Proficiency: Well-versed in Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and monitoring tools like Prometheus and ELK.
4. Physics Appreciation: An interest in radiation physics is a plus, as it's great to work with people who understand and value the company's purpose!

Salary & Benefits: £70-£75k plus pension, private medical + family, flexi hours, hybrid working.

Working Schedule: 4 days on-site in Southampton (near Eastleigh, Winchester, Chandlers Ford).
