An exciting opportunity has arisen in Birmingham Children's Trust in the Quality Assurance Directorate for a Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO). As the LADO you will be responsible for the management of allegations against people in a position of trust who work with children. You must be able to work with a level of professional autonomy and deal with complex situations.

You will be based at One Avenue Road, Aston.

About You:

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals who are committed to making a difference. The ideal candidate will have:

  1. A degree in Social Work and a minimum of 5 years post-qualifying experience.
  2. Registration with Social Work England.
  3. Management experience is desirable.
  4. Experience working within child protection.
  5. Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Interviews will be held on 1 May 2025.
