Job description

Principal Mechanical Engineer
Warrington
Salary: £52,000 to £58,000
Job Ref: 33651

Working across Healthcare, Life Sciences, Residential and Industrial sectors, this Warrington based role won't pull you between 10 or more projects and challenge your ability to balance your time and organisation more than your ability to engineer well.

With this opportunity you will work on major new build projects, including a new Hospital with a build value of £800M, a brand-new life sciences project in Manchester (£80M), and new build projects in Residential, Commercial and Industrial sectors, including the conversion of a 300-year-old department store to a Hotel.
Developing designs through RIBA Stages 1-4, you will work to a good process, with good direction from an experienced team of engineers who are working with repeat customers. It is expected in this role as a Principal Mechanical Engineer that you can work autonomously on these jobs with guidance from the Associate Director when required.

You will be provided with a laptop with IES and Revit licenses for your own use, and training can be provided where necessary for either package.

Degree educated and CEng or working towards would be beneficial, but neither are essential.

Working 35 hours a week means that you will enjoy a good work-life balance, and you will be encouraged to only work 35 hours a week.

Working from home is not discouraged, but like most, they are asking that you work from the Warrington or any other office 3 days a week, as they work as a team on projects here, allowing you to see the benefit of being around other engineers.

There is car parking available on site, or the office is 20 minutes from the local train station with a free bus to take you door to door.

The location of this role opens up access to applicants from all over the North West and makes it very commutable for any Principal Mechanical Engineer who is interested in the opportunity. They have a comprehensive people-first benefits package that is market leading.

Calibre Search promotes equality in the workplace and welcomes applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation, or age. We act as both an employment agency and employment business.
