The Vacancy

To support our next growth phase, we're seeking an entrepreneurially-minded Principal Hydrogeologist to join our Team in Melbourne, UK.

Responsibilities:

You will lead and manage a collaborative team of skilled hydrogeologists, supply invaluable technical guidance, and foster a collaborative environment. You and your team are expected to:

  1. Provide expert advice on all facets of groundwater management, including abstraction licensing, pollution control, and monitoring.
  2. Ensure clients are equipped to navigate complex regulatory landscapes while sustainably optimising their water resources.
  3. Undertake comprehensive hydrogeological assessments, including water resource, impact, and risk assessments.
  4. Stay abreast of the latest developments in hydrogeology and related fields. Sharing acquired knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring our solutions are always at the pinnacle of industry innovation.
  5. Manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgetary constraints, and uncompromising standards of quality.
  6. Develop and maintain robust relationships with clients. Identify opportunities for business growth and tailor our services to meet evolving client needs.

This role also provides the opportunity to play a pivotal role in Envireau Water's Senior Leadership Team, contributing strategic insights that shape our next growth phase. Your expertise and vision will be integral to steering the company towards new heights of success.

Qualifications and Experience
  1. A postgraduate degree in hydrogeology, geology, or a related discipline.
  2. A minimum of 8 years' experience in hydrogeology, including experience in managing projects and leading teams.
  3. Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g. Geological Society, Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management).
  4. Excellent technical knowledge of hydrogeology, including groundwater resource assessments, impact assessments, and risk assessments.
  5. Strong project management skills, with experience of managing projects from start to finish.
  6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.
  7. Strong commercial awareness, with experience of identifying and developing business opportunities.
  8. UK Driving Licence required.

The Package
  1. A salary of £50,000+, dependant on experience.
  2. Permanent contract, working 40 hours per week within Monday to Friday.
  3. A hybrid working pattern is encouraged with flexible start and finish times and family friendly working arrangements available.
