Position Overview

Duration: 18-month fixed-term contract
Location: Gloucester
Experience: 2-3 years in energy projects preferred
Salary: £55,000-£65,000 per annum

Job Description

As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will head a dynamic team and contribute to a wide range of cutting-edge projects. Your role will involve:

• Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of geotechnical engineers, instilling a culture of excellence and innovation.

• Advanced Site Analysis: Manage comprehensive site investigations to ensure the integration of viable and sustainable engineering solutions.

• Design Authority: Oversee the geotechnical design aspects of large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.

• Project Management: Coordinate the entire project lifecycle, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of high-quality outcomes.

• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main geotechnical liaison for project stakeholders, providing clear updates and strategic recommendations.

• Innovative Solutions: Tackle complex geotechnical challenges with innovative and effective solutions to enhance project sustainability and efficacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field.

• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience, particularly in renewable energy or infrastructure projects.

• Proven leadership skills with experience in managing engineering teams.

• Expertise in the latest geotechnical software and tools.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Legal right to work in the UK.
