About the Role
As a Principal FormulationChemist, you will play a pivotal role in developing veterinary pharmaceutical dosage forms, employing quality by design principles, and ensuring adherence to global regulatory standards. You will be involved in every stage of the product lifecycle, from target product profile creation to prototype manufacture and technology transfer to manufacturing suites.
Key Responsibilities for a Principal Formulation Chemist
Develop and optimize pharmaceutical dosage forms, including tablets, suspensions, solutions, and sterile injectables.
Identify and evaluate product critical quality attributes and critical process parameters.
Perform laboratory-based manufacturing and analysis to drive product development.
Support scale-up and technology transfer of new products into operations.
Prepare regulatory submissions and responses in line with global standards.
Train and mentor laboratory staff on SOPs, manufacturing processes, and techniques.
Collaborate across R&D, Operations, and Quality Control teams to progress projects.
Essential Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in a chemistry or pharmacy-related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in formulation and product development.
Proficient in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Experience in physical test analysis.
Desirable Criteria
Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in pharmaceutical sciences.
Knowledge of GMP, (V)ICH requirements, and Quality by Design principles.
Experience in new product introduction and supporting ANDA regulatory submissions.
