Principal Environmental Health Officer (Health, Safety and Environment)

Salary: £47,210 - £51,663 per year

In preparation for a pending retirement, we are recruiting for a Principal Environmental Health Officer (Health, Safety and Environment) to lead on health and safety, environmental noise, and licensing-related issues. The post provides day-to-day supervision and support to operational teams on these issues and provides support to service managers. This is an excellent opportunity for an environmental health officer with experience supervising teams, an interest in health and safety and the environment, wishing to develop your career, looking for challenges and a varied workload, and being part of an excellent and supportive team. Regulatory Services Officer

Salary: £37,082 - £41,261 per year

Working in a beautiful part of Scotland, with a wide range of food businesses, you will have a diverse and interesting workload. Operating from the Oban office, you will undertake the full range of environmental health enforcement, including public health and food safety, or as a qualified Food Safety Officer, undertake food control in a full range of premises including High Risk and Approved Premises (e.g., smokeries, fish and shellfish processors, distilleries, etc.). There will be a requirement to manage your own area workload (which may include travel and work on our islands, including Mull, Tiree & Coll), whilst protecting our residents and visitors' public health and supporting businesses, and an opportunity for personal and professional development.
