Civil Engineering Team Leader

As a Civil Engineering Team Leader within our Engineering Services division, you will lead and manage a team of skilled civil and structural engineers, driving excellence in project delivery and professional development. You will take ownership of key civil engineering projects, acting as Contractor Responsible Engineer (CRE) and ensuring alignment with the company's long-term strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers, providing technical guidance and career development support.
2. Act as Contractor Responsible Engineer (CRE) across multiple projects at various design stages.
3. Oversee and coordinate civil engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
4. Foster a collaborative, positive team culture that supports innovation and growth.
5. Provide technical oversight, ensuring compliance with design procedures, change control, CDM risk assessments, HSE, and quality standards.
6. Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
7. Support junior engineers in their professional development and career progression.
8. Contribute to business growth by developing proposals and identifying new opportunities.
9. Engage with clients to understand project requirements and maintain strong working relationships.
10. Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
11. Play an active role in the Senior Leadership Team, shaping the future direction of the company's engineering services.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in a senior Civil Engineering role, with experience as CRE or PE.
2. Ideally Chartered (CEng/IEng) with the Institution of Civil Engineers or an equivalent body.
3. Leadership experience or a strong desire to develop in line management.
4. Solid background in civil engineering and project management.
5. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
7. Deep understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
8. A proactive mindset with a commitment to contributing to the company's long-term business objectives.
