Principal Design Engineer

Job Description

A growing Engineering company is hiring a Principal Design Engineer to join their team working on a variety of power and substation projects. The company specializes in the Power, Renewables, and Rail sector across the UK and has a number of projects in the pipeline.

As a Principal Design Engineer, you will be working on a variety of projects including substations, Overhead Lines, rail electrification, and onshore/offshore windfarms. The company is looking for the following experience:

1. M&E bias; however, a civils background will be considered
2. Experience working on HV substation projects (132kV and above)
3. Good understanding of DNO and Grid processes beneficial
4. Completion of UK power projects

The Principal Design Engineer role will offer:

1. Salary up to £85,000
2. Hybrid working with 2-3 days a week based in the office (office based near Watford)
