About us

We’re an independent company and arms-length governmental body, set up and owned by the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ). We administer the Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme, which aims to encourage investment in low carbon electricity generation. In 2024, projects managed under CfD’s generated enough energy to power 15.2 million homes and mitigated 2,818,008 tons of CO2 emissions.

Key Responsibilities

Use your expertise for good. Would you like to become a leading subject matter expert in the UK’s green energy transition? As Principal Contract Manager at LCCC it will be your job to manage low carbon energy contracts and make sure they are technically sound and sustainable. You’ll get to contribute your expertise to help shape strategy and decision making, and you’ll be guided by net zero rather than commercial constraints. In fact, if you’re committed to a brighter energy future, LCCC is one of the best places in the country to do the job.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

You are recognised as a subject matter expert within your area. You have a STEM degree or a degree in a relevant technical or specialist subject, and at least ten years’ experience. If you don’t have this kind of degree, you have at least 15 years’ relevant experience in your area of expertise. Professional accreditation in your specialist subject, such as a Chartered Engineer status, would be highly desirable.

Employee Benefits

As if contributing to and supporting work that makes life better for millions wasn’t rewarding enough, we offer a full range of benefits too. Key benefits that may be available depending on the role include:

  • Annual performance based bonus, up to 10%
  • 25 days annual leave, plus eight bank holidays
  • Up to 8% pension contribution
  • Financial support and time off for study relevant to your role, plus a professional membership subscription
  • Employee referral scheme (up to £1500), and colleague recognition scheme
