  • Conduct comprehensive waste audits, feasibility studies, and scheme assessments to identify opportunities for waste minimisation, recycling, and energy recovery.
  • Lead waste and resource management aspects of decarbonisation projects across all sectors.
  • Support on procurement, due diligence, master planning, modelling, strategy and international development projects, inputting into decisions of projects to bid for and clients to target.
  • Provide technical expertise in waste processing, recycling technologies, anaerobic digestion, thermal conversion, and other energy recovery methods.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design integrated waste management systems that optimise resource utilisation and minimise environmental impact.
  • Analyse data and prepare detailed reports, presenting findings and recommendations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in waste management, energy conversion, and circular economy practices.
  • Link WaRM activities to Circular Economy, Sustainability and Social Value improvements on all projects.
  • Engage in business development activities, including client outreach, proposal writing, and participating in industry events to promote GHD’s WaRM services.
  • As the team grows the ability to be a line manager and develop more junior members of staff.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in waste and resource management.
  • Knowledge of UK waste management regulations, environmental legislation, and waste-related developments.
  • Proficiency in utilising software tools for data analysis, modelling, and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
