Job Summary
Are you an experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist keen to join our staff wellbeing service 'Here For You'? We are developing a newly commissioned service at the Princess Alexandra Hospitals Trust (PAHT). As the 0.5 WTE Clinical Lead for this part of our service, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the service to the acute hospital. The service aims to provide a trauma-informed, flexible and holistic approach to supporting individual staff and teams and to support the wider organisation via consultation. Our aim is to enable and support our NHS colleagues to sustain fulfilling, productive and purposeful working lives.
Here for You has been supporting staff in PAHT since the onset of COVID. Our previous NHS England national funding of Wellbeing Hubs model was highly valued, which has led to a commitment of new local investment from PAHT, thus enabling the development of a dedicated psychological support offer for staff at the hospital(s). We already have strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the hospital trust, and the successful applicant will therefore be joining at a pivotal stage for leading, shaping, and building on this delivery with support from our full-time 8a Psychological Therapist (in post already).
Interviews for this role will take place Tuesday 26th November 2024.
The post holder will be responsible for leading the provision at the Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust. Working collaboratively with the senior leadership team, and with internal and external stakeholders, the role will involve setting the direction of the service, engaging the relevant systems, and delivering a responsive and thoughtful service. The post holder will supervise other members of staff within the service. You will have an opportunity to conduct clinical work using a range of modalities (Individual, group, consultative) alongside this leadership role.
Working collaboratively, you will be part of the wider Here for You service, consisting of Consultant, Principal and Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologists/Psychological Therapists, Social Workers, Trainee Clinical Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, and a dedicated Service Administrator. Being part of this wider team allows the opportunity for differentiation of work and CPD. The team actively shares learning, resources, and reflective spaces across the different work streams. We have various CPD, supervision, and learning spaces, as well as space dedicated to equality and diversity thinking within the team. We work closely together as a clinical leadership team to support each other and to support thinking and service development.
