Principal Civil/Structural Engineer

Dynamic and creative design consultancy based in Kingston requires an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join their team. Network Rail experience and detail design experience is essential. Ideally, you will have buildings and bridges experience as well as other structures - the firm works on a variety of civil/structural infrastructure projects including substation design for UK Power Networks.

The firm is a 30-strong financially robust practice with major top-name clients. You would have the chance to make a real impact on how this business grows. They are a very social and friendly group at the office.

Responsibilities:

1. Attend meetings and site visits, deal with clients, and engage in hands-on design.
2. Lead projects, mentor staff, and issue bids.
3. Design large new footbridges over railways at stations, highways over rail bridges, lineside services and structures, platform extensions, station refurbishments, substation design, HV cable route design, renewables schemes, embankment and cutting works, depot buildings and structures.
4. Conduct survey work and work during occasional unsociable hours.

Requirements:

1. Experience in both steel and concrete.
2. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate as a team player.
3. Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
