Job Description:

Overview: You will be part of a talented, supportive and friendly Building Services team in the UK to work on highly complex projects for our clients and their high tech facilities. Additionally, there is an opportunity to work within a truly multi-disciplinary environment and project delivery team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out site condition surveys and produce feasibility reports with budget cost estimates for the building services elements of the work.
  2. Carry out conceptual and detailed design with calculations for building services systems.
  3. Produce engineering specifications and report writing.
  4. Site attendance at project meetings.
  5. Inspection of installations, commissioning and witnessing activities, trials, factory acceptance tests for compliance with design intent and good engineering practice.
  6. Able to reside on a construction site for short periods as required for construction assistance.
  7. Self-manage own workload and liaise with CAD and other PM departments to ensure delivery commitments are met.
  8. Able to work across UK and other PM offices on a Multi Office Execution basis as needed.
  9. Quality control, H&S and document management in line with PM policies and systems.
  10. You will report directly to the Head of Building Services and carry out the full range of professional tasks and services to meet client requirements to the highest standards.
  11. All works will be in full compliance with legislation, regulations and current Codes of Practice, within budget and to client driven timescales.
Qualifications:
  1. A Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in Building Services Engineering or equivalent experience.
  2. Preferably Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered Status.
  3. Membership of appropriate body e.g. CIBSE, ASHRAE etc.
  4. Suitable level of experience within building services engineering, professional services and/or consultancy.
  5. Comprehensive knowledge and application of regulations, legislation, codes of practice and current design standards applicable to mechanical building services installations.
  6. Computer literacy skills with specific experience & working knowledge of software packages - IES (preferable), Hevacomp, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite.
  7. Knowledge of BREEAM, LEED and related concepts desirable.
  8. Knowledge of BIM, Navisworks, MEP AutoCAD Revit very advantageous.
  9. Display a positive and ‘can do’ attitude towards the role with a teamwork approach.
  10. Effective organisational skills with an ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and expectations of clients and colleagues.
