Contract: Fixed Term from September 2024 to April 2025

Role Overview: We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Teacher to join a primary school located in Sheffield on a part-time basis. You will be covering a Year 4 class. This maternity cover role is fixed term from September 2024 to April 2025. The position is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and more experienced educators. You will be expected to fully engage with the responsibilities of a teacher, including planning, assessment, attending staff meetings, and participating in the broader life of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the Year 4 curriculum.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help each child achieve their potential.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning and development of all students.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Engage with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
• Participate in the broader life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within a primary school setting is preferred.
• This role is suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Year 4 curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Passionate about teaching and committed to supporting student development.
