A friendly and welcoming, one-form-entry junior school in Camberwell is looking to recruit an experienced year 6 teacher on a full-time basis for the spring and summer term.

The role

In this role, you will be teaching a year 6 class. You will take on full class teaching responsibilities for the whole academic year. As a year 6 teacher, you will be directly involved in preparing pupils for national testing in the summer term, and you will ideally have previous experience teaching in year 6 or upper KS2. Pupils within the current year 5 class are working at various levels, and therefore planning will need to be differentiated in order for all pupils to access the curriculum and make progress. There are pupils with additional needs in the class, and TA support is provided to enable these pupils to access learning activities.
The Senior Leadership Team is looking for an experienced teacher who is proactive and involved in the day-to-day teaching and is very present with pupils and parents.

This lovely, one-form-entry CofE primary school is in the heart of Camberwell and offers a good education to pupils attending the school. There is a diverse intake, and many pupils require additional support, but once this is provided, they go on to make good progress. The Senior Leadership Team is committed to improving standards through a rich and creative curriculum.

Minimum Requirements:

• QTS or equivalent overseas teaching qualification
• Outstanding teaching ability
• Previous long-term experience within inner-city schools
