Primary Supply Teacher
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £150 - £200 per day (Depending on Experience)
Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Start Date: Immediately
Contract Type: Ad hoc day-to-day supply

GSL Education are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our supply team to cover day-to-day teaching as a Primary Supply Teacher needs in local primary schools in Tower Hamlets.

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging and creative lessons to primary students across KS1 and KS2. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive and safe learning environment, fostering students' academic and personal growth, and ensuring a smooth transition in the teacher's absence. Whether you are seeking short-term assignments or regular supply work, this role offers the flexibility to suit your schedule.

Key Responsibilities of a Primary Supply Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the curriculum, covering a range of subjects across KS1 and KS2.
  • Adapt lesson plans as needed to cater to the diverse needs of students, ensuring all abilities are supported.
  • Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and active learning.
  • Assess and record student progress, providing feedback to school staff where required.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support the overall aims of the school.
  • Uphold the school's values and contribute to a respectful and positive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a safe and supportive space for all learners.
  • Ensure that all safeguarding and child protection policies are adhered to at all times.

Primary Supply Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in primary settings, preferably across KS1 and KS2.
  • A degree in Education, psychology or in a similar field.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Flexibility and a proactive approach to different teaching environments.
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
