Job description

Are you an experienced QTS teacher looking to shift to a more flexible teaching approach from September 2024? Are you an ECT who wants to start your teaching career with flexibility, in order to learn more about the local primary schools? GSL Education are actively supporting local primary schools in Christchurch and the surrounding areas, in search for passionate Primary Cover Teachers to help support pupils during class teacher absence.

As a Cover Teacher, you will play an important role in providing high-quality teaching and encouragement to pupils, through effective delivery of pre-planned lessons. All planning will be done by the class teacher and will be ready to pick up on the day. The ideal candidate for the role will have relevant teaching experience, a love for children and adaptability so that they can teach across a range of year groups.

This position offers a flexible opportunity for teachers seeking cover work, with the potential for a permanent position as you get to know and work closely with the local schools. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door, ahead of longer-term positions opening soon.

Requirements:
  • Be confident in managing classroom behaviour and adapting to different school policies.

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
