We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Leeds, a category B Prison located in Gloucester Terrace in the Armley area of Leeds in West Yorkshire.

Hours
37.5 hours a week - 0700hr until 2030hrs day shifts, 1.5 weekends every month, and bank holidays. 3 nights every 6 weeks and these shifts are 8pm - 7.30am.
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £40,211 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.What you'll be doingAs a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions.
- Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
- Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
- Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
- Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference, as defined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice competency framework.
- Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within, and feel proud of.

Qualifications required- Registered Adult Nurse with current registration with NMC.
- Experience in Acute settings.
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
- Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
- Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards.
- Knowledge of healthcare policies and best practice.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
