We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Whatton, a category C Prison located in Nottinghamshire.
HMP Whatton is a male adult prison with a capacity of 855.

Hours:
The shift pattern is Monday - Sunday 37.5 hours per week based on a rota basis, covering the following shifts:
Monday - Friday 7.30am - 6.30pm, 7.30am - 3.30pm and 10.30am - 6.30
Weekend - 8.30am - 6.30am

Salary:
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £40,211 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing:

As a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
  • Undertake medication rounds
  • Dispense controlled medication
  • Attend emergency response situations
  • Assess patients
  • Undertake reception screening
  • Deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group while being supported by a multi-disciplinary team
