I am proud to be working in partnership with a local authority who are looking to appoint a highly skilled, experienced, and proactive Press and Communications Manager to lead their communications function, and team, in this pivotal role in shaping their public and media relations.
You will be the first point of contact for emergency and crisis communications, ensuring swift and effective responses that uphold the Council’s reputation and reassure residents and stakeholders. You will be the communications expert, offering advice, guidance and support across the council.
The successful candidate will develop and implement innovative internal and external communications strategies, enhancing employee and resident engagement while safeguarding the Council’s positive local and regional reputation.
This role is an 8-week contract starting ASAP. The ideal candidate will have previous local authority experience and have worked in a complex political environment where there is a lot of governance.
Day rate up to £300, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
As this is a role to start straight away, my client would consider this being a remote role.
