Job Role: Premises Officer
Location: Leicester
Shift: Days - 8 Hours per day (can be flexible with start/finish times)
Pay Rate: Depending on experience

Overview:

A leading manufacturing business in the Leicester area is seeking a skilled and versatile Premises Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various trade skills, factory and office cleaning, and building and grounds maintenance. This individual should be capable of handling a variety of tasks and possess a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform general housekeeping tasks such as emptying the bins, recycling plastic and cardboard, removing any unused boxes, pallets, etc.
  2. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address issues with building facilities and undertake general maintenance duties, such as basic repairs and painting.
  3. Replenish PPE, hand sanitisers, hand soap, and other cleaning products.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas (factory, machinery, office, toilets), including cleaning and mopping floors. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from different departments.
  5. Receive, sign, and deliver parcels as well as help with unloading containers.
  6. Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures in all tasks performed.
  7. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  8. Complete any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience as a handyman, premises officer, caretaker, or similar role.
  2. Proficiency in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and other maintenance tasks.
  3. Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in building maintenance.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  5. Good physical condition and stamina.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  8. Attention to detail and a focus on quality workmanship.
